Modena Capital Turns One

Modena Capital’s first year was about building trust, fixing fast and laying the foundations for a platform that’s only just getting started.

Modena Capital turns one — marking the moment a bold idea became a trusted investment platform with a fast-growing community across Europe. It has been a year of disciplined execution, technical transformation and genuine investor trust. Our leadership reflects on the milestones that shaped this first chapter and the vision guiding the next.

Oliver (CEO): The Moment It Became Real

For Oliver, the moment Modena felt “real” came when he saw an investor transfer €50,000 into their Modena account. After nearly a year of building the platform with the team — and carrying the constant question of whether trust would follow — that transfer was a turning point. “It felt like a stone dropped from my chest,” he says. “It gave us the confidence that yes, we can do this.”

The first six months were defined by technical issues, fixes and the normal uncertainty of launching something new. Looking back, Oliver says he might have launched a few months later — but acknowledges that many real-world issues simply can’t be discovered in a test environment. If he could change one thing, it would be this: ask investors for more and earlier feedback. And he adds a note of gratitude to everyone who has taken the time to share what works and what doesn’t: “Every piece of feedback helps us shape the platform around investors’ real expectations.”

The biggest win of the year? Simply put: the whole year was a win. Modena exceeded every target — surpassing 1,000 registered users and financing over €13 million worth of agreements. Oliver credits this to the trust of Modena’s investors and the relentless work of the team.

Looking ahead, he’s most excited about the upcoming rebrand and new website, followed by the launch of several new investment products. Each step moves Modena closer to its core vision: an “invest and forget” experience — a platform where investors can deposit funds, trust that they are safe, and let their money work without constant oversight.

Rene (CTO): Engineering the Backbone

Rene describes year one as a quiet but profound transformation. Modena moved from a manually operated portal into a scalable, institutional-grade platform. A new data model and thoughtfully redesigned portfolio views brought speed, accuracy and real-time transparency to everything investors see — whether in the Fixed or Dynamic Vault.

The next chapter is about deepening that intelligence: shifting to a fully event-driven architecture, automating more core processes, expanding analytics and opening investor-facing APIs. The goal is a platform that reacts instantly, reduces noise and empowers investors with clear, reliable information at every step.

Chris (CMO): A Brand Growing Into Its Identity

As the product matured, so did the brand. Trust and user experience have become the central pillars of Modena’s visual language. Having “outgrown the playground of a one-year-old,” Modena now moves into year two with a more confident identity and a refined user experience that reflects the sophistication of the platform beneath it.

Jan (CFO): Discipline as a Growth Engine

For Jan, the defining achievement was the launch of the Investor Portal and Modena’s expansion into Germany and Central Europe. Adding credit agreements alongside factoring allowed Modena to meet investor demand consistently and responsibly.

The challenge for year two remains clear: maintain uncompromised credit quality while continuing to offer competitive returns and a steady supply of high-quality assets.

Looking Ahead

Year one was foundation-building. Year two will be about clarity, scale and a more seamless investor experience — always rooted in discipline and transparency. Modena Capital is only just beginning.
