How secure is Modena?
Modena like majority of other fintech companies is subject to financial regulation. Modena Estonia OÜ and Modena Payments OÜ are regulated by the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority. This supervision provides assurance for the investors that the company follows all the established rules and requirements.
Does Modena have an operating license?
All Modena group companies are registered under the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Modena Estonia OÜ has received a consumer lending and Modena Payments OÜ and EU payment institution operating license from the Estonian FSA. All Modena’s activities comply with the Estonian law requirements and furthermore follow the EU legislation concerning the lending industry.
What happens if the customer defaults on the issued financing?
Modena offers a feature called buyback which means that all the defaulted loans will be bought back by Modena.
If the customer does not make payments according to payment schedule then Modena is obligated to buy back the debt claim from the investor once it has become 35-90 days overdue depending on the underlying contract’s debt claim.
